Traction control

When i turn traction control fully and i know what you will ask “you have to hold the button untill you hear a peep” which what i always do. The car still cuts power when i try to slide. Is this normal can someone help. Also when i slide the car while traction and stability is off another traction light will come to dashboard and will blink. Can someone help. I did a computer check and the codes i got is brake switch circuit, steering angle sensor, and electronic steering column which are all history. Please help
