College Freshman Drama

I’m so lost on what to do with this situation and I am open to literally any advice.
Context: I am a college freshman right now and I am at the end of my first year. I do not have a super large friend group, mostly individual friends (which I feel kinda insecure about). I have one group of 3 friends that hang out with a few times a week, and catch up once every two weeks with people outside of this group. I have signed a lease to live with the group of three next year, they have all been super kind and are the people I’m closest to at college.

One of these friends has always been a little conceited , but it was not a major issue. It was just that she would just kind of talk bad about her own appearance or not be a great listener when I was trying to talk about my issues. I ignored it because she was fun to hang out with and I had people back home that I can rely on for emotional support.

Around two weeks ago we got into a bad car wreck together. She was driving and I was the passenger. In the crash I was the one to call 911, call her mom, get her insurance card, even pull her out of the crash, and paid for our uber home. We both were relatively unharmed other than some major bruises and a sprained ankle.

At first, she was super grateful that I was able to take control the situation and was really nice the following day. But now, whenever she tells the story she pretends that she was the one the coordinated and paid for everything (food and transportation) since the crash. In addition, she has not been like herself sense then. Preciously her minor flaws were fine, everyone has something, but it has gotten a lot worse.

She has been insinuating that my boyfriend is ugly. She has been really rude to waitstaff when we go out. She tries to cut lines because ‘people never say no to her’ and just generally being a dick. It finally made me acknowledge her behavior when she expected me to pay for an uber for her and her out of town friends home and refused to split it with me. She claimed ‘she had to open a credit card to get through the week’ when she had really just been using it to buy $200 worth of clothes.

Usually I would just distance myself until she acted like herself, or ghost her if she never did. The issue is that I signed a lease already to live with her next year. And if I break the lease it will impact my other two friends who are also living with us.

Sorry for the long post. Do I talk to her about this? What do I do?
