ribbon cable pinout for ipod classic 3 gen

just ripped off the connector going to headphones jack and lock switch. The fifth pad is completely off (the most outer one, closest to the corner). Do I need to restore it or it duplicates some other pins?

besides, having some challenges with hdd to sd conversion: i can see the ipod in my mac's system profiler after reboot, but then it's just gone. faulty sd-pata adapter? is there a way to check if it is actually alive?
