Hair growing back

I went to do a middle part today and noticed there is a lot of very short regrowth. It looks ridiculous, but I’m glad it’s coming back. Any styling tips to help hide the short hairs?
I lost what felt like half my thickness.. I can’t imagine what it’s going to look like once it’s a coupe of inches long.
