modern adulthood is a scam

rhetor/ how on god’s green earth can you avoid extreme poverty going into “adulthood” when you live in a tiny city (where the only good job opportunities that pay you to *survive* are male centered due to hard labour) and have poor, unsupportive, incredibly dysfunctional parents (that won’t teach or help guide anything)

I’m seeing a lot of girls my age homeless due to these exact circumstances,
living in storage units or bando’s, working and being paid like a slave

All of the matured women in my town had enough time to settle and be married before things got like this,

I’ve always wanted to be an homemaker but that dream is unrealistic now

I was raised to be an adult in an America that doesn’t exist anymore,
