We built a LinkedIn automation SaaS in 2025. Here's what nobody told us about getting the first 100 users.
Started Bearconnect earlier this year. The idea was simple — one platform that handles both LinkedIn outreach (connection requests, drip sequences, DMs) AND content creation/scheduling. Because every tool we tried only did one or the other and we were juggling 3-4 apps at once.
Building the product was the easy part honestly.
The hard part? Convincing people to trust a brand new SaaS with their LinkedIn account.
That's not a low-stakes ask. People have spent years building their LinkedIn network. One bad automation tool and your account gets flagged or banned. So trust was the #1 objection we kept hitting.
What actually moved the needle for early users wasn't features. It was us being public about the safety side - local IPs, behavior mimicry, gradual action ramp-up. We wrote about it, talked about it, answered every question about it. People signed up because they felt we understood the risk, not because our UI was pretty.
Pricing was another interesting decision. Most competitors charge $150-$500/month. We landed at $67/month per LinkedIn account (drops to $57 when you connect 5+ accounts).
The per-account model made more sense to us than a flat per-user fee - especially for agencies managing multiple client profiles.
Still early days. Still learning. But the biggest lesson so far: in B2B SaaS your first users don't convert on features. They convert on whether they believe you understand their problem better than they do.
Happy to answer questions if anyone's building in the outreach/sales automation space.
