Update: Built an app for my Oxford pub deals site based on your feedback

Hey everyone,

About a month ago, I posted here asking for feedback on a site I was building to track pub events, food/drink deals, and things like quizzes, beer gardens, live sport and pool tables around Oxford (BarTrender).

The response was honestly incredible and way better than I expected - so first of all, a massive thank you to everyone who checked it out, upvoted, or gave advice! It gave me the push to keep going.

I’ve listened to your feedback, so I wanted to share a few major updates I've been working on:

The iOS and Android apps are live! A few of you mentioned you'd find this much easier to use if it was app-based. The app is now fully built and ready. It includes a map view so you can see what deals or events are happening right near you.

Download on the App Store: iOS App

Download on Google Play: Android App

Kept the website!: A couple of people rightly pointed out that they are sick of downloading apps for everything and prefer a browser tab. Don't worry - the website is staying completely live and fully functional at bartrender.co.uk

Bug fixes & filters: I fixed the Samsung display bug on the features dropdown that was flagged. I've also added the ability to filter by day of the week, meaning you can easily see who is doing a quiz on a Thursday or a drink deal on a Monday.

More and more venues are jumping on and updating their listings directly, so the data is getting better every week. Some are even offering exclusive discounts.

It's 100% free to use. If you have a minute to download the app or check out the new filters on the site, I'd love to know what you think!

Cheers,
Richard
