Hot take: Most SaaS tools in the LinkedIn automation space are overpriced and underbuilt. Change my mind.
I say this as someone who built in this space so I'm not just venting from the outside.
We spent months researching competitors before building Bearconnect. What we found was genuinely surprising. Tools charging $200-$400/month for features that haven't meaningfully changed in 2-3 years. Basic drip sequences.
No content creation. No unified inbox if you're running multiple accounts. Just the same outreach automation wrapped in a new UI and priced like it's enterprise software.
The moat most of these tools have isn't product quality. It's switching cost. Once you've built out your campaigns, sequences, and integrations in one place - moving feels painful even if the tool is mediocre.
I think there's a real gap for tools that combine outbound (automated outreach) with inbound (content strategy and scheduling) in one place, priced for real teams and not just enterprise sales floors.
The LinkedIn automation market is weirdly mature and weirdly stagnant at the same time.
Curious what other founders in adjacent spaces have seen — is this a pattern in other SaaS verticals too? Tools that lock in early and then coast on switching costs?
