NovaRed just added Ed Kostenski as an advisor, and after looking into his background a bit, this feels different from the usual junior mining appointment.

The guy started Nationwide Equipment when he was only 20 and spent more than four decades building the business internationally. We’re talking heavy equipment, mining, infrastructure, logistics, construction projects, the kind of industries where relationships and execution matter a lot more than hype.

According to public interviews, his companies were involved in arranging over $1B tied to equipment and infrastructure financing globally. There were also reported discussions connected to projects ranging from $500M-$1B in Ghana and around $1.3B tied to development initiatives in Tanzania.

What stood out to me most wasn’t even the dollar figures though.

It’s the fact that he spent years operating across 60+ countries and was later appointed to EXIM Bank’s Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee back in 2005. That suggests real experience around export finance, equipment movement, and international project development.

Not saying this suddenly changes NovaRed overnight.

And obviously this doesn’t make him some government insider.

But for a small explorer, adding someone who has actually spent decades around large-scale industrial and financing ecosystems is pretty notable.

The project itself is also more interesting than I originally thought:

A lot of early-stage mining companies feel interchangeable.

This one is starting to feel a little different, mostly because of the people now getting involved.

Still speculative of course.

But definitely one I’m watching more closely now.

Interesting move from $NRED that probably flew under the radar for most people.
