The Matriarch Spider

I found doing the matriarch spider battle in act 1 is alot doable at level 5-6. Everytime I do this fight at level 4 everyone in my party js badly damaged one is maybe dead and one is down and it is always a terrible experience. I did this one my second tactation run as a test to see how the difficulty is at a higher level. At this point I was already in act 2.

Breakdown-

My tav-war cleric equipped with the web boots you find in the small room in the cave (AC 18)

Lae- she has the soul breaker sword though i didn't use that option (AC 18)

Astarion- reclassed as a doomstalker ranger (AC 14)

Gale- abjuration subclass (AC 12)

I did stealth and un-group the team hiding behing the rock just before the web bridges. Still in stealth my tav ranged attack the clump of eggs near the rocks opposite of the rock they are hiding and then the clump below but they were seen. The battle started I had the others do attacks before being spotted/added into the fight not clicking on end turn. I do the mechanism to not have my tav take damage and the other can do damage while still being hidden

While the mother spider is on the web bridge I shot at the bridge to have her fall she loses about 20 hp

I misty stepped lae close to her and I did do the push range attack the spider did fall back into the hole but teleported back up so I guess on tact that isn’t an option

Gale mitsy stepped close enough to fire ball the rest of the egg clutch

Being past lvl five clerics have spirit guardians which is helpful if the babies popped out

Warlocks by lvl 6 should have hungar of hadar which is helpful.

Removing the eggs they will not hatch during the fight I always hated those spiderlings doing more damage than anything. I also did this to get the achievement.

After this I collected the amethyst to go to the cellar in the apothecary.

One thing I was worried was losing Minthara going back to act 1. I remember once going back and she mentioned something she would leave unless it is because I had her in the party and I didn't risk camping in act 1 going back to act 2 for rest.
