Do qualities beyond money still matter in dating/marriage today?
- 26M
- I enjoy cooking and doing my own grocery shopping daily.
- I like keeping things organized and clean — including laundry (I have my own method 😅).
- Soft-spoken, educated (not only book educated), well-mannered, and considerate. I even carry a small bag for trash if I can’t find a dustbin.
- I value transparency, trust, mutual support, and open communication.
- I genuinely like solving problems for people I care about.
- Financially responsible, currently earning 37k in hand and working on growing further.
- Open-minded — I prefer discussing things logically instead of blindly rejecting opinions.
- I’d love to spoil the woman I love in small ways — bringing her water, feeding her with my own hands, ironing her clothes if she’s in a hurry, or preparing lunch for her when I’m free.
- Friends and family say I’m good-looking (their words, not mine 😂).
Sometimes Reddit makes it feel like money is the only thing that matters in dating/marriage. Do qualities like kindness, responsibility, emotional maturity, care, cleanliness, and effort still matter to people today or I am in for huge shock ?
