How hard is it to enter a master degree in Waseda ?
Hello everyone and thank you for reading my post !
Starting from September I will do a one year exchange in Aoyama University after which I will graduate from my bachelor degree in Japanese studies. Considering that Japanese culture, history and language is what I have been mostly studying at college for these past three years, I am thinking that it would be very beneficial for me to do a master degree in Japan after my bachelor (preferably one that has classes given in Japanese).
I was therefore considering to enter one of Waseda University's master as it is very prestigious. However, while I was able to see what documents are required to send for the application, I don't know what are the criteria that are going to make my profile more attractive compared to another student who also wishes to enter Waseda. Since it is one of Japan's most prestigious universities, I suppose that I definitely won't be the only foreigner with an N1 level trying to apply.
Therefore here are my questions : Do you have any idea how hard it is, as a foreigner possessing the N1 certification, to enter Waseda ? Do you know what are the criteria that will make a profile more attractive compared to another ? Are there any kind of certifications (for example : 漢検2級 or the BJT) or activities that one could do to improve their chances of being selected ?
