Xenolord ultra help
My friends and I recently started playing Palworld, and we’ve pretty much finished everything except for a few of the Ultra raid bosses. Right now we’re stuck on Xenolord Ultra, since we’re trying to go through the raid bosses in order, and Hertalis Ultra is probably next on the pain list.
There are three of us playing. Two of us have mostly raid-ready armies, mainly copies of Shadowbeak, Orserk, Neptilius, Frostallion, and a few random Pals mixed in. Most of them have IVs in the 90–100 range, since we’ve done a lot of Moonlord farming for fruits. They’re condensed to rank 4, boosted in ATK/DEF/HP anywhere from around 30–60%, mostly level 55–65, and they have strong passives like Demon God, Legend, Musclehead, Serenity, or Ferocious.
Full honesty: we did cheat the passives a bit with the surgery table mod that unlocks all passives, because none of us wanted to spend that much time breeding perfect Pals.
The third player doesn’t have as big of a raid army yet, so we do have a few weaker Pals mixed in, but I figured that shouldn’t be a huge issue since we increased the number of Pals in the base box to 30.
We’ve also split roles during the fight:
One player uses the megaboost gun to constantly buff the Pals in the arena.
One player handles recovery grenades, usually around 50 per fight, since farming green mushrooms is painful.
The third player goes full damage.
We also use Mammorest Curry for the attack buff on ourselves and a few of our Pals.
In our case the Xenolord ultra has 2M HP. We can consistently get him down to about 1 million HP, and we usually still have around 6 minutes left on the timer at that point, so damage/time doesn’t seem to be the main problem. The problem is that by then, most of our Pals are dead, and we’re left trying to finish the fight ourselves, which obviously doesn’t go well.
We always fight in the raid arena and don’t really build much there, apart from a few global Pal stations or whatever they’re called so we can access the Pal box more easily and swap out dead Pals mid-fight.
Does anyone have any advice on how to improve our setup for Xenolord ultra? And also any tips for Hertalis Ultra afterward would be appreciated.
Are we missing something obvious? At this point it feels like survivability is the main wall, not damage.
Thanks for the tips in advance.
