Autonomous vs non Autonomous colleges

Gawarment notice

The difference is much bigger than you think

In non Autonomous colleges the all four years papers syllabus and timetable is made by mumbai University . The university checks the paper for the first and fourth year of your college.

This is a big disadvantage as the other colleges teachers check your paper and they don't want other colleges to succeed so they do hsc type of checking

Or sometimes even fail students on purpose so that they can get re evaluation money

Another problem is it is too constrained since the thing is with university that exams can be held whenever they want and college rush a lot more than you expect i remember college started in september and ended at December and had paper on 1st January while autonomous college postponed their exams to jan something so more flexible

One more good thing about autonomous is the passing . some not all the autonomous colleges don't have 40 percent per subject or per paper passing rule it's more of an overall so you don't have to worry about failing. You can check yourself by checking the syllabus of those colleges. Even if you fail sometimes they don't add in your marksheet because they have the control but i am unaware of which college does it

Since the syllabus is in college hands some colleges have done good job including useful and not nep 🐷where 6 subjects plus unnecessary labs and all and having to study physics and chem for 2 semesters.

The problem of Autonomous

  1. Gunda gardi - since colleges have full control they do wth they want like events mein nahi aaoge and all your marks are deducted sometimes they go even further and that all that crap in the syllabus so you have to do and attendance in general is strict as far as I have seen.

  2. Not every autonomous college> non Autonomous

For example

Tsec> thakur ,vesit, fr agnel bandra

Atharva rgit thakur shyamnarayan> lr tiwari which is autonomous
