Accepted Sophomore transfer!! How Does Transfer Housing Work?

Just got in to GW business school as a sophomore transfer for Fall 2026 and I’m waiting on my financial aid award letter before officially accepting. Do you usually have to commit before seeing the aid package? I’d really like to know the numbers first, but honestly GW is probably my top choice right now either way.

Also trying to understand how housing works for transfers. Is there a pretty good chance I’d get on-campus housing/apartment-style housing? Any recos on buildings for sophomores/transfers and which ones to avoid.

And how do people usually find roommates? I’d like to try to find someone than go random if possible. But I’m not seeing an IG page.

Would love any honest advice or things you wish you knew before transferring!
