After busting through my life with Sivga Que for a couple of weeks, I really do enjoy the great mid-bass and the vocals of this IEM — that is until I saw an ad on Instagram. This beautiful stainless steel deep blue IEM piqued my interest and it made me sidegraded the Que and jumped the gun. The good catch is that this is probably my first blind buyout for an IEM that's relatively unknown and rarely discussed on the subreddit.

So let's talk about it.

Priced around 80$, it comes in a complete set of accessories such as the interchangeable cable of a 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm cables. Also included in this box are three sets of three kinds of eartips.

\*Bass\*

· Just a little amount of sub-bass but not rattling your bone kind of bass (just nice)

· Great thump, but it's more leaning to quantity > quality (no joke)

\*Mids\*

· Vocals is good, not as good as Sivga

· At a certain part of the song I've tested, the instrument and vocals are jumbled together, thus creates a 'hot mess' so the separation is decent (a bit poor than the Sivga Que in my opinion)

· Slight recessed

\*Treble\*

· Super tame (not for the treble maniacs, but good for people who didn't like sibilant noise)

· Some songs showcase a decent separation but not a detail centric.

· There's some situation where the part of the song is supposed to have this peaky cymbals that was about to be hit, and the IEM tamed it too much and this action killed the vibe of the track I'm listening (busy track, you know what I meant based on the playlist above)

· Certain part of the song I've tested the sibilant is present but it's not that sharp

· It's OK and justified for 80$ IEM

\*Vocal\*

· Female sound much clearer than male voice, in every genre I've tested.

· Yeah that's about it. Female centric IEM.

So after swapping the DACs and redoing the test, I found that it doesn't have a huge difference in sound. (Macaron - JM6 Pro)

Also I've done a test with the interchangeable end of the 4.4mm and it does fix the resolution and give a larger headroom for this IEM, but still the treble is quite tamed but the sibilant is more present than before.

At this point, I finally realized that this is a V-shaped IEM and not a balanced/U-shaped IEM. I've decided to test it with more bassy music/track and It confirms my theory

So, is this better than the Sivga Que? My answer: No it's not and it's far from it.

I think it's a classic V-shaped sound signature and slightly recessed in the mids so the listening experience is kinda underwhelming and the graph on the back of the box is not the real representation of this IEM supposed to sound like.

So, here again with my money burned away, just like my previous purchase on Tanchjim 4U.

So, who is this IEM for? Well it's a V-shaped sound so anyone who loves bass and you've decided to try some bass centric IEM for the first time in this price range.

Regrets? Yeah kinda but if I were listening to the bassy 808 banger then this is my go to IEM I'll use for the bass beef.

So that's my review on the iBasso Jr Klee.

So now, V shaped is not for me, but maybe I'm getting some planar next. What Planar IEM should I get and please hook me up with something good guys. Maybe a sub USD 100$ would be a good start since I intended to sidegrade for a bit to see what kind of IEM would suit me the best as so far my sound preference tests are:

✓ Warm

✓ U-shaped

× V-shaped

× Bright

× Monitoring

? Planar

God bless for this journey, and guide me till I find the perfect one for me.🙏🏻
