Can I get free samples of zipper sliders from manufacturers?

Recently I've been sourcing zipper sliders for a tiny sewing project and my mind got me pondering how often manufacturers dispatch sample pieces before placing a larger order. Initially, I figured I'd just go for one style and move on with it but after side-by-side comparing materials, finishes, and sizes I realized there were way more variations than I expected. I got carried away for a while checking out supplier listings on Alibaba plus a couple of fabric and sewing marketplaces just for a look of different varieties available. Basically, samples are what got me most just to touch and see the quality before making a larger commitment. Also interested if most suppliers are just charging for shipping or if there are usually minimum order requirements.
