Were there any New Era players who wanted to play the full 39 day format?

I know it was unfortunate that these players had to play the shorter game, but were there any New Era players who really wanted to play 39 days in their first season? Or even anyone in Season 50 that really wanted the season to be 39 days instead of 26 days in the 50th season?
