iCloud Family problem

So, basically i need the 2Tb of shared icloud family but my gf is in another county and other icloud country when i try to join the family account says it doesnt match.
If i just change my ICloud country i have acess to the pack family?
I have no subscriptions only iCloud storage.
And about the regional apps i already have installed the ones i need they work just fine with that?
Or is it better to create a new Apple account?
