I want to hug you like

The earth holds mountains,

Like ocean waves

Returning to the sand.

Like clouds

Resting in the sky,

Like dust

Dancing with the wind.

Like branches

Clinging to their leaves,

Like ink

Living on a page,

Like threads

Woven into cloth.

Like warmth beneath skin,

Like blood through veins,

Like a heartbeat

Inside the chest.

I want you so badly,

My love—

I miss you

To the bone.
