🏀 NBA Western Conference Finals Game 6: Oklahoma City Thunder @ San Antonio Spurs

Taking the Thunder +3.5 (-110). OKC leads the series 3-2 and just won Game 5 by 13. The depth advantage and series momentum make 3.5 a narrow spread for a team that's demonstrated the ability to both blow out the Spurs and absorb their pressure.

🔥 Game 5 Showed OKC's Ceiling:
The Thunder won 127-114 in a game they controlled from start to finish. The bench production was elite — Caruso, McCain, and Jaylin Williams all contributed meaningful minutes and scoring. SGA closed strong in the fourth. This wasn't a fluky win. OKC showed that when their role players hit shots, the Spurs don't have the depth to keep up. That's the fundamental matchup edge in this series.

📊 The Series Has Been High-Variance:
Game 1: SAS 122-115 in double OT. Game 2: OKC 122-113. Game 3: OKC 123-108 (bench explosion). Game 4: SAS 103-82 (defensive shutdown). Game 5: OKC 127-114. Neither team has sustained dominance for more than one or two consecutive games. The results have swung wildly. In a swingy series like this, 3.5 is a narrow spread for the team that's ahead 3-2 and just won convincingly.

💪 Depth Is the Structural Edge:
OKC's bench has been the best unit in this series. Caruso brings defensive intensity, McCain provides scoring off the bench, and Jaylin Williams fills gaps. On the frontcourt side, Holmgren and Hartenstein create spacing that neutralizes Wembanyama's rim protection — they pull him away from the basket and force the Spurs into uncomfortable defensive rotations. When OKC's depth pieces contribute, the Spurs can't match it because their roster is more top-heavy.

⚠️ Why the Spurs Could Cover:
Home court in a potential elimination game — the Spurs are fighting for their postseason life at their own building. That matters. Wembanyama was the best player on the floor in Game 4 when the Spurs held OKC to just 82 points. If San Antonio replicates that Game 4 blueprint — slow pace, early defensive pressure, Wemby-centric offense — they can absolutely cover a 3.5-point spread. The Thunder's guard injuries are also a concern: Jalen Williams (hamstring) and Ajay Mitchell (calf) have both been day-to-day through the series. If either or both are ruled out, OKC's guard rotation thins significantly and the Spurs' defensive pressure becomes harder to handle.

💡 The Math:
At -110, the implied cover probability is about 52%. I project OKC +3.5 at roughly 57% based on the depth advantage, Game 5 momentum, and the series variance pattern. That produces approximately +8.8% expected value — one of the better EV spots this round. OKC has shown it can win by 13 and 15 in this series and also absorb a bad game (82 points in G4) without losing the series. 3.5 points of cushion is more than enough for a team with that range.

1.5 units. Moderate-high confidence. The pick is contingent on injury reports — if Williams and Mitchell are both ruled out and the Spurs are fully healthy, downgrade to standard unit or pass. Check final status before locking in. WCF Game 6 — who's riding with the Thunder?
