Embedded Software Market in Japan
Hello everyone, I am an embedded software engineer with 4 years of experience in the automotive industry with embedded C, RTOS, etc.
I still have my job for now, but the market in my home country is awful, to say the least. The company which I work for is laying off people in more high cost countries, and in my case, almost zero annual increases over the past 3 years have taken place and career progression has become virtually impossible, which are deliberate measures to force resignations. I was studying Japanese purely as a hobby for many years, and then I decided to take the N2 exam and passed, I applied for jobs in Japan and got an offer from an outsourcing company to work on a project with a very big name in the automotive industry, of course since it is an SES the pay is lower than the market average but they will give me a visa, and they seem like a legitimate company not a black one, the question is, will taking that offer as a way to enter the market and staying for a period of 1-2 years and having a big name on my resume while improving my Japanese and then pivoting to a bigger company with 7.5m+ anually a viable strategy or not ?, thank you.
