Experience with Botox with trouble swallowing or connective tissue disorder

About Botox Treatment

I have mild lower esophagus dysmotility, and can get episodes of slow swallow or trouble initiating swallow. I have been diagnosed with connective tissue disorder and have gastroparesis.

I'm curious if anyone has had either swallowing issues or connective tissue disorder/hEDS/EDS and how their body reacted to treatment.

Did it lessen swallowing troubles?

Is it less or more likely to have less side effects if under general anesthesia?

I just worry about getting back to a time in my life where I couldn't eat and it took years to be able to eat a normal amount and variety of food. This was MCAS and gastroparesis related but I can see how not eating could set me back.

I am booked to have Botox treatment(50 units) under general anesthesia in June but I wanted to see if anyone had any similar health issues and how they did.
