Do you have a dedicated editor on your content team, or is it just writers reviewing each other?
Trying to figure out our content team structure for the next 6 months. We have two strong writers and a marketing manager who is currently doing all the editing. Output quality is fine but the manager is the bottleneck and the writers are unhappy because feedback takes a week.
Two options we are weighing.
Option one, hire a third writer and switch to peer review where the writers edit each other.
Option two, hire a dedicated editor at a higher rate and keep the two writers.
The peer review option scales easier when we add a 4th writer later. The editor option probably means higher quality faster, but the editor becomes a single point of failure for the team.
What does your B2B SaaS content team look like? Anyone tried both and switched, and what made you change?
Curious about any if you publish 4 to 8 articles a month, that is what we are aiming for.
