A new Mutants Series Pitch for the MCU

ForgetMeNot and Blindfold

episode 1

The Opening Hook:

The episode starts on a completely black screen. We hear Xabi's voice from the off: "I'm going to tell you a story. A story about me. Don't worry if you don't remember it... nobody does."

Flashbacks: The screen lights up, and we are suddenly dropping into iconic, famous MCU movie scenes, re- shot with a new perspective:

The Battle of New York (2012): We see Captain America or Black Widow trapped bv Chitauri aliens, Suddenly, a stray alien blaster mysteriously misfires or an alien gets kicked from off-screen. The camera pans slightly to reveal ForgetMeNot panting holding a pipe, having just saved them. The Avenger turns around, looks right at him, says "Thanks, soldier." blinks, and walks away completely forgetting he is there.

The Battle of Earth (2018?): During the massive final stand against Thanos, we see ForgetMeNot desperately dragging an injured, unconscious sorcerer out of the way of a falling Chitauri leviathan. He looks up at the sky full of heroes, entirelv alone in the crowd.

The Twist Ending: The flashbacks fade out. The camera slowly pulls back to reveal where the voiceover has been coming from. Xabi is sitting in a dimlit room, pouring his heart out. The camera pans across from him to reveal Blindfold.

The Girl Stuck in Tomorrow (Episode 2)

The Fragmented Childhood: The episode opens with a young Ruth Aldine (Blindfold). It shows that growing up with her power is a nightmare. Her brain doesn't process time in a straight line. As a little girl, she cries at a birthday party because her mind is simultaneously experiencing a funeral that happens ten years later.

The Visual Style: The episode plays with a unique, disorienting visual style. When people talk to her, she responds to what they are going to say five minutes from now. Her parents think she has a severe mental illness, not realizing she is a psychic oracle who literally cannot anchor her mind to the present moment.

The episode addresses her comic-accurate mutation--she was born without eyeballs, just smooth skin where her eves should be. While this makes her physically blind, her psychic sight is so plindingly bright with memories of the past, present, and future that the physical world is just a distraction to her anyway.

At the very end of the episode, we flash forward back to the present day. We see the moments right before Episode 1 started. Ruth is sitting alone overwhelmed by a chaotic storm of future visions in her head. Suddenly, ForgetMeNot walks into the room.

The moment Xabi sits down, Ruth's mind suddenly goes completely quiet. Because normal people instantly forget him, his timeline is a quiet, blank slate in the universe's fabric. For the first time in her life, looking at his future gives her brain a rest. He isn't a chaotic storm of destiny, he is iust a peaceful, quiet present.

By the end of Episode 2, the audience completely understands why these two broken, lonely characters desperately need each other.

(both meet in the x mansion ? ) maybe ??
