DCBL debt collectors and parking fines

I have received 2(I expect more), letters from DCBL for parking fines dating back to march. These fines have never been received in the post and I had no recollection of them before receiving the debt collection letters themselves. My car is registered to my current address that I have been situated at for over a year now.

Im aware obviously parking fines only issues when terms of a contract are breached, in this case it was not registering my reg once inside the gym.

Do I have any leg to stand on, especially because I didn’t receive a single letter in the post with regards to these parking fines or am I just knackered.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated as im aware letting it potentially go to court would be stupid and there is a high likelihood it go the way of the claimant. Thank you.
