Help! I'm trying to figure out what specific type of techno this is.

I'm basically a normie in the context of techno, so please excuse my lack of knowing the proper terminology.

As the title says, I'm trying to figure out what's the exact (sub)type of techno, or more precisely the technique, which appears between 2:58 and 3:10 in this video: https://youtu.be/PBOUaJADSSA

If the answer is hard techno or something else that is not too specific, it wouldn't help much because I have searched and searched, but couldn't find something quite like this. No melodies, no singing, no overdynamic rhythm, just this adrenaline/trance inducing simple rhythm with drums (or whatever it is).

Please help lol!
