do you paint for phones?

the title is silly but I do have a question: as a large number of people experience art on a computer screen (different gamma and luminosities), on a phone or "best of all" on a tv screen, do artists take that into account?
I'm certain that there have been disappointments when the original in the museum was not as luminous as the version watched on a screen.
