Best bricks to use for a reclamation box for wild clay

Questions

I'm thinking about making a big reclamation box like the one in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnSzPINub3M

for some super pure dense wild clay I found in a river bed.

I just don't want to use plaster of paris. Would concrete paver blocks be absorptive enough?
I was looking at this which seems perfect to me naively:

any advice would be great!

A picture of the pre-slake breakdown I'm doing!
