125 recommendations

After a long time thinking about getting into biking I’ve finally done it at the tender age of 31, and recently passed my CBT. I was originally planning on going straight for my full licence but my uncle (lifelong rider) suggested starting with a 125 on the L plate to get some experience in before moving to the bigger stuff.

I’ve been looking at a few, and narrowed it down to 3 I like;

Suzuki GSX-S 125
KTM Duke 125
Yamaha MT-125

Would love to hear some opinions / feedback on these, or any other suggestions. At the moment I’m kind of favouring the Suzuki as I have always had a bit of a thing for them (I remember growing up watching the Rizla livery bikes, they were always my favourite) I have a budget around £2.5-£3k, and after something newer than 2017 ideally so I can put my private reg on it.

Really just after something nice to ride that I can learn on, go out on rides with my uncle and friends and build up some experience before moving onto the bigger stuff later on.

This is brand new to me so please be gentle! Any guidance or suggestions will be massively appreciated 😃 looking forward to finally joining this community and getting out and around!
