The case for optimism.
Guys, the negativity, it's wildly out of control. Everyday I login to X, onto Reddit, it's a never-ending bitch fest.
FIVE MLS FIELD PLAYERS MADE IT.
Luna/Tessmann/Morris didn't! What about BUSIO!?!?!
FFS:
We have, without question, the best striker pool in the history of the program with 3 in-form guys coming off of great seasons in top 10 leagues.
Yes, Pulisic isn't in form, but he generally shows up for the USMNT when we need him to. We DO have some guys playing at a VERY high level at the moment, Wes, Adams, Jedi, Richards. Dest and Weah are quite good RWB players. We have an ascending Freeman, a consistent Scally.
Even the guys we're having non-stop complaints about. Berhalter is THE in form MLS player on a very good Whitecaps team. Roldan is having a solid season and played quite well against 2/3 of our group opponents in recent friendlies.
We've seen very little of our preferred XI, together. I'd have preferred Tessmann for a CB (Robinson) but overall, this is, on paper, the best group of players we've ever fielded.
Put your MLS-hate aside, stop worrying so much about some friendly results, Poch has been non-stop tinkering.
Get behind the boys, show positivity on the internet, elevate those voices and let them know we're behind them 100%.
