Introduction of the Sovereign Avalon Order

Greetings to the micronational community.

On May 22nd, 2026, the Sovereign Avalon Order (Ordo Avalonensis) was formally established as a non-territorial monarchical order-state founded upon the principles of chivalric honor, institutional sovereignty, dynastic continuity and the preservation of Avalon’s cultural and historical tradition.
The Order is governed under the authority of the Grand Chapter of Avalon and led by the Prince of Lyonesse as Head of State.
Unlike territorial micronations, the Avalon Order does not claim land, maintain armed forces or pursue confrontation with existing states. Instead, the Order seeks peaceful institutional recognition through diplomacy, ceremonial tradition, cultural activity and lawful international correspondence.
Our goals include:
-preservation of chivalric and monarchic traditions,
-development of institutional diplomacy,
-creation of a sovereign ceremonial order-state,
-cultural and humanitarian initiatives,
-establishment of respectful relations with other micronations and sovereign institutions.
The Order has already established:
-a constitutional framework,
-a heraldic identity,
-a system of ranks and honors,
-institutional offices,
-state symbolism,
-and diplomatic foundations.
We hope to engage respectfully with the broader micronational community and welcome correspondence, discussion and ceremonial relations with other institutions.
