Smith of kitava weapon summons

This is mainly a question due to me not being a content creator or a build creator. I’m just a dad gamer like quin69.

With the changes to minions/skills and the new companion/rework skills on the tree. Is it possible to even make a good build with the weapon summons? I haven’t seen anyone talk about it and I’ve wanted to try it but it was so bad on release I’m just not sure.

Hopefully some big brain gamers can dial something up. Thanks for reading and stay sane.
