“I’m available for a call around 4pm” I’m awake at 8am.

This happens incredibly often.

“Sorry i’m off at 4 so I figured i’d call in the morning”

“Thanks for picking up I know you said you could do six but I had a slot open and figured you’d want to take it”

“Oh you said 4? I missed it! Oh well!”

There’s this expectation in society that you will always be okay with doing something at 8am because that’s the norm and it’s infuriating. Why would we think calling at 8am is fine if I said I could do 4? Why not text or email first?

I don’t mean to complain i’m just really frustrated with how often stuff like this happens. It’s as though the very idea that people might be on a diffrent clock is alien to morning folks.

Eugh.
