Looking for stories of women feeling empowered while going through IVF

General Question

My husband and I (35M and 34F) have been TTC for four years, and are at the point where IVF would be the next logical step in our treatment. We are struggling with the decision to pursue IVF or stop here and accept our life as childless adults.

We have all the usual concerns about IVF, but my biggest concern is I want to feel like my body is mine. If we choose IVF, I want to feel empowered in that decision and be at peace in my body regardless of the outcome. Right now all I feel is dread.

Did anyone go into IVF feeling super empowered in that choice? How did you hold on to a sense of bodily autonomy and dignity?
