Phir Se (no pun intended)

DISCUSSION

I took down a post that I made yesterday about Phir Se in the movie Dhurandhar - The Revenge, in which I'd said that It was set to Dwijavanti, while some other rasikas said that it was Khamas, And that Ramana himself had said that it was in Khamas

One thing is for sure. Carnatic Khamas It most certainly isn't.

After some research online, it turns out that It belongs to the Khamaj thaat in the Hindustani system. A thaat is an equivalent of a melakarta raga in carnatic music. The equivalent to Khamaj is Harikambodhi.

Definitely sounds like Dwijavanti to me, But I'm open to any discussion on what it could be.

Again, humbly, I'm a lifelong student and will continue to be so. Not trying to put anyone down with this post.
