How do secondments during CPS Pupillage work?

Hi all,

I start my pupillage with the CPS next year. I know part of the pupillage is the (optional?) secondment during your first six with a set of chambers.

The question I have is who arranges this? Should I make contact with sets or does the CPS already have possible secondments lined up?
