New prebuilt getting absolutely terrible frames and lag while gaming

Hey guys, recently bought a new prebuilt PC and I believe I have installed all windows and GPU updates but I just don't know computers well enough for the next step in troubleshooting. Here are the specs in case it's important:

AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

B850M Motherboard

16GB DDR5 6000 MHz Ram

Radeon RX 9700 XT 16GB GPU

1TB NVMe SSD

Now I think from what I've been seeing it's the obvious thing of my HDMI not plugged into the GPU but whenever I do that I can't get any display on my monitor at all. Please I've gone a week without gaming any help would be greatly appreciated!
