Single vs Double Lip Embouchure

When I first started playing clarinet, I was taught to single lip, and my lesson teachers would reinforce that type of embouchure. Because of that, I’ve never really experimented with double lipping, but I’m curious how different it actually is in practice. I know professionals like Corrado do so, and his tone is just immaculate and vice versa with single lipping professionals so how much of a difference does it make?

So for people who’ve tried both: how big is the difference in feel and sound?
