MULTIPLE BUGS In Sonic Games (Sorry Sega.)
Game: Sonic Generations – PS3 (Classic & Modern Sonic)
I've found several reproducible bugs while playing. Most happen when switching characters mid‑action or braking at unexpected moments.
1. Wall clip → void fall (Planet Wisp – "Rescue the Animals 2")
How to reproduce:
- Start the "Rescue the Animals 2" challenge as Classic Sonic on Planet Wisp.
- Immediately run into the small wall directly in front of you.
- Press against it at a slight angle (sometimes with a small jump or roll).
- Sonic clips through the wall and falls into an endless void (sky and land visible). After a few seconds, the game kills you.
Frequency: Happened twice; seems reproducible.
2. Soft lock – stuck in geometry (Modern → Classic swap)
How to reproduce:
- Play as Modern Sonic.
- Do a short boost (or fast‑press Square then Triangle).
- Immediately switch to Classic Sonic mid‑action.
- If done at the right moment, you get stuck in the geometry – specifically in the area marked in the image (red oval).
Happened to me: 3+ times at any spot like the one in this image: https://files.catbox.moe/89mq7b.png
3. Ghost spring / phantom launcher (through a wall)
How to reproduce:
- Locate a jump rod (thin rod with a small red ball) on the other side of a wall.
- Go up a speed ramp, brake before touching the spring.
- Go back down.
- You will bounce as if you hit the jump rod – sound, animation, and upward force all trigger – even though you never touched it.
The activation zone seems to extend through the wall, or the game incorrectly applies the effect after a near‑miss.
4. The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog – endless run soft lock
(Not Sonic Generations, but worth noting)
- During the "collect 25 rings" "THINK" level, after collecting exactly 25 rings, I kept running forward.
- No more rings, spikes, enemies, or obstacles – just an endless flat floor.
- The game never ended; I had to close it manually.
Has anyone else encountered these? Sorry, Sega – love your games, but these bugs are real.
