It cannot be overstated how differently people treat you when you lose weight.
The last couple of years, I've lost a significant amount of weight, and I already noticed it. More smiles, people actually being engaged with my ramblings, etc. Not to mention a general transition of women viewing me as creepy to tolerable.
But, I figured most of it was just mood. Really did not understand how much I was slowly dying when I was overweight. Couldn't breathe, felt like shit all the time, was constantly going through sugar crash highs and lows, etc. When you're in a somewhat better mood, people actually want to spend time around you.
I gained a little bit of weight because of stress and injuries the last 6 months or so, so I've been getting my diet back on track this last month. This last month, I've been slowly working my waistline down while trying to maintain muscle (with the occasional mess up day because eating this strictly can lead to burnout if you don't deviate a little here or there).
Last week, I accidentally overdid it on the fiber, and let's just say there was less biomass in my stomach afterward. So, my waistline shrank about 3.5 inches on top of the last month's 4 inch shrink. Literally overnight, people at work who had been avoiding me came to me to chat. My friend, who'd been distant, suddenly wanted to hang out. People smiled at me more frequently.
Just crazy to see how drastically it changes up overnight.
