At a loss with Competitive

This is mostly a vent post, but I am seriously frustrated with the matchmaking for competitive. I am by NO means a great player, but I have enough hours and experience with enough characters I can flex well and know the game very well. I am just hard stuck at Silver 1 which just feels awful. I have never played Comp until this season but I seriously don’t get it. I will get a single win, and then 2-3 losses. Every time I get within a win of ranking up into Gold, I get stuck with a team that seems new or throws. It’s really sucking the fun out this game. Bot games are boring and QP is a toxic cesspit. Does anyone else feel this way?
