Old cards should be playable with the new release.
I keep seeing narrow minded posts in here from people who want the new release to be completely standalone and incompatible with old cards.
The truth is that there is a whole ass TCG already made that functions well enough to have an active playerbase 20 years after its end. The opportunity to make both games compatible with each other is too big to pass on.
This will open so many new ways to play for casual players like myself and 95% of the playerbase.
Not making the new sets compatible with the old sets would be a major business blunder imo. If balance is an issue, simply ban old cards from organised play and tournaments.
But for the love of god please leave the casual players the opportunity to make weird ass builds and try crazy stuff. Playing a build with a new takinom on a team with the old chaor on a new location fighting with old mugic would be absolutely CHAOTIC and would make for some absolutely bonkers interactions.
Also on a side note, the online game needs a draft pick mode with randomised cards each player chooses from to limit metabuilding and brainless fools just copying the top decks over and over. An absolute meta is what kills games. The need for Constant change and adaptation this mode will bring will be a breath of fresh air.
