how would it work if one line becomes a different line after a station — tokyo metro pass

hello, im thinking of purchasing the tokyo metro pass but i need help figuring out how will it apply for this.

basically “fukutoshin line” is under the tokyo metro pass and im planning to use it to go to yokohama, based on gmaps it says that i dont need to transfer to a diff line and can stay on the train but it changes to “toyoko line” can i still use the tokyo metro pass? or do i have to get off the train before it changes to a different line then go to an exit to scan my pass then when i reenter with suica?

or is it possible to just scan my pass and pay the difference at yokohama station. thanks for the help
