An RFY observation

So last evening a pair of canvas loafers appeared in my RFY. I checked them out and saw the colors and sizes available, but did not order.
This afternoon they are still in my RFY at 3:30PM and I decided you know what? I think I will order a pair of them to review. So I chose the size and color I liked and Requested.
Got the red text error. Tried again, same result.
Went back to my RFY and wouldn't you know it and darn the "luck".. the item is no longer there.

There were three colors and about seven sizes right up until I hit "request". There is no way in heck that miraculously every option was suddenly sold out the instant I put in my request. Make of it what you wish, but I am done thinking I JUST MISSED it because others were just slightly faster. It's completely arbitrary.
