Didn’t update K3 to 3.4.3 before jailbreaking, do I need to restore and do it again?
I’m working on jailbreaking a K3 Kindle Keyboard B006 and didn’t see that I should have updated the firmware to 3.4.3 and went ahead and tried to jailbreak it. (I’m following the method and instruction on KindleModding which includes 3.4) I got KUAL installed and am getting the “not a registered developer” error. The guide indicated that KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw should be used for K3 but also says .azw2 should be used (I used azw2 as that was all there was provided.) Reading elsewhere, i thought I needed to add MKK and did that with 2014 and 2025 versions. No change.
Not knowing if i should restore and do it all over from factory, i tried updating to 3.4.3 and am getting the same error message. Big question is, if I restore this to factory settings, will it likely pose any problems with jailbreaking it again?
