Context: HYBE, Belift Lab and ILLIT sued Fastview. On May 8, the court ruled for Fastview. The ruling was restricted from public access. Soon after, excerpts leaked online and NewJeans’ fandom, Bunnies, was blamed by other fandoms.

📄 Old article (May 22) - “How Did HYBE’s Confidential Ruling End Up in NewJeans’ Fandom?”

· Named Bunnies in the headline.

· Said the ruling was “first consumed within fandom networks.”

· Implied someone with a delivered copy leaked it (fandom framing).

· Described spread as “typical K-pop fandom network structures.”

· No mention of court error.

Result: Other fandoms attacked Bunnies for weeks with zero evidence.

📄 New article (May 29) - “Court’s Confidential Ruling Leaked by ‘Mistake’ - System Defect”

Court admits:

· Employee knew an access restriction was filed but did not verify if the dismissal was final before giving the ruling to a third party.

· The ruling was non-final (an appeal was filed).

· The leak was purely an internal court administrative error - not hacking, not fandom espionage.

Reporter now writes: “Behind the incident lay not the ‘information capabilities of fans’ , but a fatal administrative error by the court.”

⚠️ No apology. No retraction.

Comments under the new article (see screenshot):

“Last time you spread a false conspiracy theory… Please apologize for your previous false article first.”

“You should apologize to Bunnies.”

“Why isn’t the reporter apologizing?”

✅ Takeaway:

Bunnies did not leak anything. The court admitted it was their own staff’s failure. The same reporter who let other fandoms weaponize his first article quietly wrote a second article contradicting it without ever correcting the record.
