interesting in joining da club

hi everyone! i am looking into buying a Kia Soul as a good college car for the boston area, BUT i am in between moving right now and in NC. my job in MA starts in about a month, and I would love to do a roadtrip from NC to MA, but worried/thinking about how the Soul handles these types of roadtrips. I have found a used car near me (im on a budget lol), for about $18k with 52k miles on it.. any thoughts? Its a 2022, FWD, 2.0 engine, etc. Im new with cars and all, so any input is great. The good note is that I am doing a trade-in, and should be getting about 6k off! Thanks everyone, i love kia's lol
