Navigating Lost Time Accident Tracking

Had an employee roll their ankle and was sent home by his supervisor to rest for the remainder of the day.

My understanding is that since the employer sent him home, it is now considered a Lost Time Accident/OSHA Recordable.

If the employee hypothetically calls out of work additional days, but opts to not see a doctor, are the days the employee calls out considered part of the lost time?
