This day is the thirteenth day, and this day is the last of the three days of Tashreeq, about which the Almighty said: “And remember Allah during the appointed days. Then whoever hastens [his departure] in two days - there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [his departure] - there is no sin upon him - for him who fears Allah. And fear Allah and know that you will be gathered to Him.” [Al-Baqarah: 203]

The first opinion is more likely, based on evidence including the Prophet's saying (peace and blessings be upon him): "The Day of Arafah, the Day of Sacrifice, and the Days of Tashreeq are our festivals, we Muslims, and they are days of eating and drinking." Narrated by Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i, and At-Tirmidhi, who said: "This is a good and authentic hadith."
